Hello
Hi, I’m Valerie — the heart behind Sky Vale Pumpkins.
Pumpkins have been a part of my story for as long as I can remember. I grew up on my parents’ dairy farm in the Skykomish River Valley, where every autumn my brother and I planted, tended, and harvested great big Atlantic Giant pumpkins. Some we sold from our driveway, others we proudly lined up on the farmhouse steps. Those fall days, surrounded by the smell of fresh earth and crisp leaves, are some of my happiest memories — and where my love for pumpkins truly began.
As I grew older, decorating my own front porch each autumn became a tradition I cherished. Pumpkins weren’t just produce — they were part of the season’s magic, transforming an ordinary space into something warm, welcoming, and joyful. Sky Vale Pumpkins was born from that love: a way to share a piece of my family’s farm, my creative eye for design, and the beauty of autumn with others. We feel we are not just a business, but a way to carry on a family tradition and pass along the joy that pumpkins have always given me.
This dream is a family effort. My husband, Eric, and our two little boys are always lending a hand, whether it’s picking pumpkins, testing equipment, or cheering me on. My parents and siblings are also deeply involved — from tractor work to porch design — and together we’ve built something that feels like an extension of our home.
What makes Sky Vale Pumpkins unique is more than just the pumpkins themselves. Every display is grown, harvested, and styled with care. From planting seeds in the spring to delivering porch-ready displays in the fall, I pour my heart into every step. My goal is simple: to make autumn easy, beautiful, and unforgettable for you.
Thank you for letting me share this piece of my story — and my pumpkins — with you. Whether you’re here for a small bundle or a grand display, I hope Sky Vale Pumpkins brings as much joy to your home as it has always brought to mine.
